Yes, for him are uncomfortable because the plate shakes on them.
I can’t ask him to think differently but I don’t want to give up to something that I love so much - and I love him so much too. For the colour and for the natural and comfortable feeling they make me feel.
I had an idea! I recycle them - why not?
Basically we are in the summertime, and we are all trying to change something in our homes to feel as much as possible the summer feeling.
Thus I decide to hang up them.
With a transparent nylon thread I merged the 2 mats. I measured the right distance for the project I had in mind.
Then I added the nylon on the opposite side thus I created a kind of buttonhole for hanging them.
But, if you don’t have problem to attach nails on your wall - you know, I’m in a rented home and I want to respect the rule - you can choose a different way to display them on the wall.
On the front, I placed my sweet pilea - have I told you that it comes from Milan? A weird story, maybe a day I’ll tell you - and now I have a cozy summer corner do enjoy in my living room.
Easy to realize and really cheap.
You can find similar mats like mine at Ikea here
But there are a lot of think you can realize with your placemats. I suggest you Carla’s idea.
Carla, blogger as me for CasaFacile magazine, is a really creative person and used them for making a wonderful summer bag. Another funny and easy project to share with you.
