For me this Christmas will be like a deep jump into emotions, far away from my beloved and my traditions.
But I want to proceed with my personal tradition of changing Christmas tree decorations every year. Not because I want a new trend but because I need to try new ideas. My mind is always in turmoil.
Do you remember how I decorated my terrace two Christmas ago? Thus I am.
This year I decided to start thinking about tree decorations from another point of view: money. I hope to give a suggestion for everyone who can’t spend a lot and wants to surprise.
So I fixed a maximum budget for my Christmas tree: 5 pounds.
We are in lockdown, shops are closed and I want to support local business, so I went to the supermarket near home trying to focus on the budget. And finally the idea: a bunch of gypsophila or baby’s breath (in Italy we call it “velo da sposa” that means “bride veil”) for 3 pounds. Less than what I expected.
I have a small tree so for me a bunch is enough.
I cut bunch into small pieces, I added them to my tree and voilà, the Christmas tree is ready!
Very botanical, the trend of the moment, super ecological, and it looks like it just snowed.
I’m very proud of my idea.
It will be the most unusual Christmas tree of an unusual year.
Merry Christmas, with all my heart.
