The Scandinavian style is my passion. Simple, homely, with neutral colours bringing a lot of light and creativity. As well as home staging I suppose.
Since when I live in London, I prefer even more to surround myself with this style that helps me to overcome the rain and the gray sky.
And my home office is the perfect place when I can apply this style creating a desk as a mood board when I can work without distractions.
Its position in the room is perfect: in front of a big window watching to the canal, the floating boats, swans and ducks.
Also for this I decided to let speak the natural light and the nature that surround me, creating a basic Scandinavian style desk.
You need:
2 wood boards cm 30x200x1,8
2 Ikea Lerberg trestles
4 small wood pieces cm 10x50x2
screws
I had the boards cut in the shop (B&Q) at cm 160, the size I needed.
On the back I screwed up the 4 small wool pieces of wood. You need to do this due the stability of the desk (2 near the middle, and 2 near the external. Remember to count how long your trestles are before doing this operation).
I turned on the top and I added it over the trestles.
That’s it!
In origin the boards were cm 200, so, with the 2 small boards remained, I placed them on the trestles. In this way I created 2 new shelves useful for what I need around me when I work.
Can you imagine how I feel now?
Look at the picture and you can understand how beautiful is working at home.
Thank you to my friend Valentina Chisci for being my perfect handywoman. And, guys, she is also a superb architect and a passionate painter.
(Sorry for my English but, you know, I work better than how I speak)
